sustainability

Our commitment to sustainability is demonstrated through comprehensive environmental initiatives aimed at enhancing our surroundings and uplifting the community. Annually, we plant between 25 and 30 hectares of indigenous trees, with a target of 450 to 600 hectares by 2028. This not only aids in ecosystem restoration but also enhances biodiversity and contributes to carbon sequestration.
  • Renewable Energy Initiatives
We utilize solar-powered irrigation systems for our macadamia orchards and future agricultural projects, ensuring water use efficiency and environmental friendliness. Our housing for staff is equipped with solar lighting systems, promoting the use of renewable energy within our operations.
  • Regenerative Practices
We implement regenerative agricultural methods by planting cover crops on 240 hectares annually, improving soil health and increasing carbon storage in the soil, thus enhancing overall farm sustainability.
  • Community and Regional Impact
Our efforts extend beyond our immediate operations, aiming to serve as a model of sustainable practices within Malawi and the broader region. We are committed to leading by example, showing that responsible farming can positively impact the environment and community.
  • future goals
By 2030, we aim to power our main macadamia processing facility primarily with solar energy, significantly reducing our carbon footprint and underscoring our dedication to green practices.
